The descendants of George W. and Margaret Lare Main met at the Bush Creek Church of the Brethren, Monrovia, on May 19 to celebrate their annual family reunion. Anna Poole, Main reunion president, welcomed everyone and thanked them for carrying on the family tradition.
David Brunner Jr. followed with a blessing of the food and remembrance of those who had passed since the last reunion. After the meal, Anna Poole conducted a brief business meeting. It was discussed and decided to continue the reunion next year.
There were two guessing games. David Brunner guessed the weight of the watermelon and Joel Archibald won the candy jar by guessing how many pieces of candy were in it. Old photos and the family Bible were shared with the family. Food and fellowship was enjoyed by all.
About 40 family members and friends attended the reunion, including Terri Main; Bobby Main Jr.; Carol and Monroe Brashear Jr.; Margaret Brashear; George Brashear Jr.; Rick and Judy Regnier; Rick and Nancy Pastor; David and Dixie Brunner; David and Lorene Burke; Charles and Diana Brunner; Marlayna, Dakota and Montana Reaver; Warren and Darlene Brunner; Michael, Dawn and Joel Archibald; Craig and Mary Frye; Mike and Angie Frye; Rose, Stacey and Stanley Martin Sr.; Dawn Horvath; Wanda Embrey; Dennis Main; Helen Raby; Anna Poole; Carolyn and Earl Kline; Larry Summers; and Joy Culver.
