On May 29, Heather Michelle Gula and Michael John Foster exchanged wedding vows in a ceremony at the Carroll Creek Amphitheater, Frederick. Pastor Glen Ewart, uncle of the bride, officiated. The reception was held at the Lake Linganore Events Tent, in New Market.
The bride was given in marriage by her mother, Lynn Gula, and her father, Thomas Gula, of New Market. She graduated from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. She is a current dental resident at Chase Brexton Health Services, in Baltimore. She is also a graduate of Linganore High School and Mount St. Mary’s University.
She is the granddaughter of Patricia Ewart, Donald Ewart, Fred Gula and the late Carol Gula. Her bridesmaids were Samantha Norris, maid of honor; Erin Neely, maid of honor; Joy Hallfors, Lauren Quinn, Nicole Lewis and Aala Salimian.
The groom graduated from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, where he earned his Doctor of Medicine degree. He is a current orthopedic surgery resident at the University of Maryland Medical Center, in Baltimore. He is also a graduate of Easton High School and Mount St. Mary’s University. He is the son of Andrea and Donald Foster, of Easton, and the grandson of Donald and Ellen Marie Foster.
Groomsmen were best man John Barry, Andrew Owlett, Josh Winter, Jason Lewis, Teddy Gula and Christopher Bramble.
The couple met while studying biology at Mount St. Mary’s.
The newlyweds honeymooned in St. Lucia and now reside in Catonsville.
