The Frederick Bridge Club hosts a variety of duplicate bridge games. All players are welcome, regardless of experience or ability. If you would like to have fun, meet new people and improve your bridge game, the club offers beginner/intermediate games (0-499 master points) on Monday and Thursday afternoons beginning promptly at 12:30 p.m. An Open game for players of all experience levels is also held on Thursday at 12:30 p.m. These games take place at the Frederick Moose Lodge, 828 E. Patrick St., Frederick. An additional Open game for players of all experience levels is held at 6:45 p.m. every Monday evening at Citizens’ Nursing Home, 1920 Rosemont Ave., Frederick.

There were five tables in the Open Club Masterpoint game on March 8 at the Moose Lodge. Kathy Goss and Lois Taylor earned first place in A; Ann Lebherz and Scott Kiser were second in A and first in B; Linda Cranston and Steven Groag were third in A; Karol McIntosh and Steve Salitrik were fourth in A, second in B and first in C; Dave Bort and John Blodgett were third in B; and Dolly and Ralph Maier were second in C.

There were seven tables at the Moose Lodge on March 8 for the 499er Club Masterpoint game. Catherine and Patrick Alspaugh earned first place in A East/West; El Cooper and Shams Baqai were second in A and first in B; and Abbas Hendi and Bruce Glatt were third in A and second in B. Bruce Edkins and John Sivinski were first in A and B North/South; Garr Isacco and Guy Whidden were second in A; and Steve Olsen and Cynthia Walker were third in A and second in B.

There were six tables in the Open Charity Club Championship on March 11 at the Moose Lodge. Dick and Lois Taylor and Selena and John Swanson were first in A; and Ann Lebherz, Bob Robey, Dave Hall and Wesley Wu earned second in A and first in B.

There were 5½ tables in the 499er Club Championship at the Moose Lodge on March 12. Bill Griever and Stephany East earned first place in A; Bruce Edkins and John Sivinski were second in A and first in B; Diana Roberts and Janice Tucker were third in A; Nancy Ahr and Carole Kirby were fourth in A, second in B and first in C; and Diane Courtney and Clyde Dismukes were second in C.

There were 6½ tables in the Open Club Masterpoint game at Citizens the evening of March 12. Ellie Dorsey and Chris Kaufman were first in A; Lowell Philips and Rob Freed were second in A; Rhea Diamond and Ben Covard were third in A and first in B and C; Jim Cartlidge and Carrie Singer were fourth in A and second in B and C; and Marie Sullivan and Scott Lilly were fifth in A and third in B.
