The Frederick Bridge Club hosts a variety of duplicate bridge games. All players are welcome, regardless of experience or ability. If you would like to have fun, meet new people and improve your bridge game, the club offers beginner/intermediate games (0-499 master points) on Monday afternoons. On Thursdays, the club offers both a beginner/intermediate (0-499) and an Open game for players of all experience levels. All of these games begin at 12:30 p.m. at the Frederick Moose Lodge, 828 E. Patrick St., Frederick. An additional Open game for players of all experience levels is held at 6:45 p.m. Mondays at Citizens Nursing Home, 1920 Rosemont Ave., Frederick. There is also an Open Team Game at the Moose on the first and third Sundays of each month beginning at 1 p.m., assuming sufficient teams register. A series of classes by Dick Taylor are at the Moose Lodge on Thursdays at 11:15 a.m. On April 25, he will teach “New Minor Forcing.” On May 9, “Jacoby 2NT.”

There were nine tables on April 1 for the 499er game. First, second and third places North/South were earned by Bruce Glatt and Garr Isacco, Janice Tucker and Diana Roberts, and Dede Daniels and Adele Tubbs. First, second and third places East/West were earned by Bill Griever and Stephanie East, Anna and Lucien Winegar, and Ernie Heller and Pete Storm. Other players who placed to earn ACBL masterpoints were Cathie Deadrick and Catherine Alspaugh, Manny Greber and Lynn Marquess, Diane and Bart Kinlein, Leslie Futrell and Pat Harragan, and Diane Courtney and Clyde Dismukes.

There were 4½ tables in the Charity Club Championship on April 4 at the Frederick Moose. First through fourth places were earned by Karol Mcintosh and Steve Salitrik, first; Ann Lebherz and Ronald Clawson, second; Rhea Diamond and Bob Robey, third; and Ben Colvard and Dave Hall, fourth.

There were 8½ tables on April 4 for the 499er game. First, second and third places North/South were earned by Janice Tucker and Diana Roberts, Jeannie Cahill and Judy Engel, and Bruce Glatt and Garr Isacco. First, second and third places East/West were earned by Bill Griever and Stephanie East, Ernie Heller and Pete Storm, and Pat Stuehler and Ed Krest. Other players who placed to earn ACBL masterpoints were Mike Turell and Guy Whidden, John Sivinski and El Cooper, and Leslie Futrell and Pat Harragan.
