The Frederick Bridge Club hosts a variety of duplicate bridge games. All players are welcome, regardless of experience or ability. The club offers beginner and intermediate games (0-499 master points) on Monday afternoons. On Thursday and Friday afternoons the club offers games for players of all experience levels. These games take place at the Frederick Moose Lodge, 828 E. Patrick St., Frederick. Monday and Thursday games start at 12:30 p.m. Friday game starts at noon. An additional Open game for players of all experience levels is held at 6:45 p.m. every Monday evening at Citizens Nursing Home, 1920 Rosemont Ave., Frederick. There is also an Open Team Game at the Moose on the first and third Sundays of each month beginning at 1 p.m. assuming sufficient teams register. The Frederick Bridge Club will be offering a series of beginner bridge classes on Mondays in June and July. Contact Catherine Alspaugh at mcalspaugh@comcast.net for more information. Dick Taylor will lead a series of classes at the Moose Lodge on some Thursdays at 11:15 a.m. The classes on June 6 and June 13 cover Reverses and Takeout Doubles.

First through fourth places North/South were earned by Maggie Hays and MaryAnn Simmons, Bruce Glatt and Garr Isacco, Judy Engel and Jeanne Cahill, and Abbas Hendi and Pat Stuehler. First through fourth places East/West were earned by Kathy Hundley and Ellen Ristorcelli, Catherine Alspaugh and Cathie Deadrick, Nancy Ahr and Sandy Baker, and Steve Olsen and Penny Jacocks.

There were 3½ tables in the Grass Roots Fund game on May 20 at Citizens. First, second and third places were earned by Ron Clawson and Willa Garner, Dave Bort and Jim Cartilidge, and Linda Cranston and Dave Vendittis.

First through third places North/South were earned by Manny Greber and Bill Griever, Bruce Glatt and Garr Isacco, and Abbas Hendi and Pat Stuehler. First through third places East/West were earned by Malcolm and Daisy Ewell, Diana Roberts and Janice Tucker, and Jessie Gribble and Kim Engman. Other players who placed to earn ACBL Masterpoints were Pat Harragan and Leslie Futrell, Kathy Gallagher and Karen Gayman, Judy Engel and Jeanne Cahill, Patricia Skidmore and Dean Bennett, and Victor Hingeley and Michael Zimmerman.
