Tickets to single-game tickets for the Frederick Keys go on sale at 10 a.m. April 3. The 70-game 2020 home schedule opens at Nymeo Field at a date to be announced later, due to corona virus health concerns. The season ushers in early game times for weekday games in April, May and June, with first pitch slotted for 6:30 p.m. Fan favorites like Kids Eat Free Monday, Guaranteed Win Tuesday and Sunday Funday return with new promotions. Weekend games will feature fireworks shows on Fridays and Saturdays.

The promotional schedule includes an appearance by Kevin Malone, from “The Office,” a WWE Hall of Famer and visits from some of Washington, D.C.’s, favorite athletes. Dates are subject to change.

“The Office” Night is Aug. 21, headlined by Brian Baumgartner, who played the fun-loving accountant Kevin Malone on the show. He will do a meet-and-greet with fans on the concourse. Early in the summer, WWE Hall of Famer Honky Tonk Man comes to town as part of Wrestling Night on June 13. The Elvis Presley-like wrestler will sign autographs and hang out with fans on the concourse throughout the game. Washington Capitals goalie Olie Kolzig will appear on May 15 as part of Family Fitness Weekend. On May 16, Redskins Night, two members of the Washington Redskins will sign autographs and hang with fans on the concourse before the game.

Several giveaway nights are slated including May 23, when the team will wear Star Wars-themed jerseys with auction proceeds to benefit Sophie and Madigan’s Playground. On June 12, the Keys will don Peanuts-comic jerseys on Peanuts Night, in support of Project Linus. Three more jersey nights and auctions are scheduled: Frederick’s 275th anniversary jerseys on July 11 to benefit the City of Frederick; Cancer Awareness Night on Aug. 14 to benefit the American Cancer Society; and Art in the Park Sept. 4 for the Frederick Arts Council. Patriotic caps night on July 3 will benefit the Coalition to Salute America’s Heroes.

Other special events include a Trolls Picnic on April 18, Royal Princess Tea Party on Aug. 23, Keys Baseball Camp June 30 to July 2 and Aug. 3 to 5; Candy Drop on May 24; STEM Day June 4; Keyote’s Birthday Picnic June 5; Scout Night June 6; Pack the Park June 13; Frederick County Parks and Rec Night Aug. 11; Fort Detrick Night Aug. 13; Guns and Hoses Softball Game Aug. 15; Medieval Times Night Aug. 20; and Fan Appreciation Day, Sept. 7. Also, “A” Report Card Program in April and May; Meet the Team Night April 19, June 14 and Aug. 23; 22 fireworks shows scheduled; Wear Orange Wednesdays; and Taphouse Tuesdays when fans can enjoy special deals on craft beers.
