FCBIA celebrates 60 years
Members of the Frederick County Building Industry Association gathered in early October to celebrate their 60-year charter with the National Association of Home Builders. What started with four members in 1959, including the late Ernie Ausherman, Ralph Morgan of Morgan-Keller, and the Brosius Brothers, now includes over 200 members in the building industry. Member Marvin Ausherman, of Ausherman Properties and the Ausherman Family Foundation was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award for his support of and service to the Builders Association. Ausherman, a past president, along with 16 other past presidents, were also recognized at the anniversary gala held at Musket Ridge in Myersville. Serving the building industry of Frederick since 1959, the FCBIA serves as the voice of Frederick’s construction and remodeling industry. Through advocacy and education, they aim to enhance the business climate for members, and to provide quality obtainable housing to the community. FCBIA members are a consortium of the area’s top building industry professionals.
