Student raises funds for Urbana Food Bank

Caroline Coleman, right, a National Honor Society student attending Urbana High School, collected food and baked cookies and sold them to raise much-needed funds for needy families in the southeastern portion of Frederick County. Caroline donated the proceeds from the bake sale and all food items donated to the Greater Urbana Area Food Bank. The food bank assists 235 families; that’s more than 800 men, women and children that benefitted from her efforts. Jo Ostby, left, food bank operations manager, states, “The food bank is always happy to have students choose us as the beneficiary of their fundraising endeavors. Students always do such a great job.”
