Nymeo Federal Credit Union, the largest Frederick-based credit union, awarded two Frederick County Public School high school seniors with a Nymeo Believe & Achieve Scholarship. The scholarship was open to all FCPS seniors.

Nathaniel Neuland, from Tuscarora High School, and Leah Koltz, from Middletown High School, were this year’s recipients.

Neuland and Koltz both received a $1,500 scholarship from Nymeo. A committee of judges based the winners on their essays, academic accomplishments and participation in both school and community activities.

“We received outstanding applications this year. Our scholarship committee had a difficult time deciding on the award recipients,” said Vicki Johnston, president and CEO of Nymeo. “We congratulate this year’s winners and wish the best for all high school graduates!”

Nymeo Federal Credit Union is a FCPS Business Partner. Nymeo also sponsors the Millionaire’s Club and Banzai, an online financial literacy software for educators to use in classrooms for free. For more information, visit www.nymeo.org.
