Women’s Giving Circle hosts Spanish Speaking Community of Maryland

At their recent quarterly luncheon, the Women’s Giving Circle of Frederick County welcomed speakers Maria Herrera and Natalie Cioffi of the Spanish Speaking Community of Maryland. Herrera and Cioffi spoke to Giving Circle members about the impact of SSCM on vulnerable women and families from diverse backgrounds in the Frederick community. SSCM is the recipient of a 2019 Giving Circle grant, supporting SSCM’s Critical Services Partnership with the Frederick County Public Schools (FCPS) to address the unmet needs of FCPS students and their low-income mothers, many of whom have limited English proficiency. Pictured from left are Kim Chaney, WGC chair; Natalie Cioffi, SSCM development director; Maria Herrera, SSCM executive director; Lois Jarman, WGC grants committee chair; and Linda Roth, WGC vice chair.
