About two dozen teachers and staff of Middletown Elementary and Middletown Primary schools formed a caravan of cars, trucks and motorcycles and left the elementary school Thursday morning on a two-hour parade through town. The caravan passed hundreds of students, family members and neighbors lining the walkways along the route. The teachers wanted to show their support for the students who have been out of class due to the COVID-19 outbreak and are to begin distance learning next week. The parade was led by a Frederick County Sheriff’s Office deputy. The caravan did not stop along the route, but each vehicle had a sign with the teacher’s name and a message. Many students along the the route also waved signs to their teachers as they passed.

You are biased, Gabe, but I agree!

Yep, I readily admit my bias, but that's why we moved to the Valley over 25 years ago. It was (and still is!) a great place to live and raise a family. A great blend of rural and small town living and sensibilities. The schools are fantastic, as are the shops and restaurants. The Main Cup and Valley Grill (especially on Wednesday trivia nights) are my all-time faves. and I don't plan to ever leave.

Lets be honest..most of the nation already does this..they no longer can venture into the cities.

Way to go M-Town teachers. This is really heart warming. Love to see these stories at a time of such uncertainty.

Must have been organized by the school it wasn't common knowledge.
