Frederick County Health Department seeks proposals to address opioid crisis

The Frederick County Health Department is accepting applications from community partners to support minority outreach and technical assistance partners, faith-based and community-based organizations.

The purpose of the grant is to help address Maryland’s opioid crisis by implementing initiatives to provide outreach, information, education on opioid use, and training on educational prevention strategies.

Applications will be reviewed by the Frederick Local Behavioral Health Authority, Frederick County Health Department and the results submitted to the Maryland Department of Health for funding determination. Projects approved by the MDH’s Behavioral Health Administration will enter into a funding agreement with the Frederick County Health Department.

Applications must be received by the Frederick County Health Department no later than Nov. 8 to be considered for funding.

Make is legal, the problem will self correct....


I’ve contacted the leaders of the so-called “Hard” leprechaunists of FredCo (those are the ones who believe there really are pots of gold at the ends of rainbows; the “Arch” leprechaunists are the ones who think “pots of gold at the end of rainbows” is a metaphor for a life well-lived) to encourage them to apply for funds. They are faith-based and can make a good argument that looking for pots of gold is more constructive than taking opioids.
