A West Virginia man was charged with assault and resisting arrest earlier this week after Frederick police said he fled after an officer saw him attack another man, according to a department press release.

John Arthur Comeau, 28, of the 400 block of Sawyer Road in Harpers Ferry, was involved in a fight that was called in to police at 4:42 p.m. Monday in the first block of South Market Street, the release states. The first responding officer saw Comeau assault another man as soon as she arrived, but Comeau ran away when confronted, fleeing along Carroll Creek Linear Park before he was caught and arrested at the C. Burr Artz Public Library. Comeau continued to resist when police tried to search him, screaming profanities and causing a disturbance, according to the release.

Comeau was charged with second-degree assault, resisting arrest, failure to obey a reasonable and lawful order given by a law enforcement officer, disorderly conduct and littering less than 100 pounds. He was released Tuesday on $10,000 unsecured personal bail, court records indicate.

This boy is an out right junkyard dog. Stacking them up on South Street like pancakes. No doubt has a bloodline of stump jumpers being from West by god Virginia. They run like deer, picking them up and putting them down (feet), dust trail behind. If he could had cut that corner, finding open grassy, wooded grounds, police would never had caught him[beam]

That is hysterical
