A new affordable-housing apartment complex on North Market Street is open.

The Interfaith Housing Alliance Inc. and developer PIRHL will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Tuesday to mark the opening of the apartments.

Guided tours and refreshments will follow the ribbon-cutting, which is invitation only.

The apartments at 520 N. Market St. combined rehabilitation of a building and new construction to build 59 housing units, the majority of which are for households making between $20,000 and $60,000. There are one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, as well as a computer room, community room and rooftop deck.

The complex also comes with on-site parking.

The Interfaith Housing Alliance and PIRHL broke ground on the project in December 2016.
