Charming Charlie, a jewelry and accessories retailer with a location in Frederick, filed for bankruptcy Thursday and will close all 261 of its stores by the end of August, according to a filing in U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

This is the second time the retailer filed for bankruptcy in two years, closing about 100 stores between 2017 and 2018. The most recent filing was due to the store’s insufficiency to stabilize the debtor’s business and ensure long-term profitability, according to the filing.

The store has several locations in Maryland, including one at Westview Promenade on Buckeystown Pike.
