Frederick County Public Schools on Thursday announced four more staffing changes for the 2019-2020 school year.

Lisa Smith will become Oakdale’s new principal on July 1. She comes from Tuscarora High School, where she served as assistant principal. Smith began her career with FCPS in 2007 at Linganore High School, where she taught Government, AP Government and Politics, Sociology and World War II.

Smith earned her bachelor’s degree from University of Maryland and her Master of Science degree in education leadership from Hood College.

Smith takes over for Donna Clabaugh, who moved to the district's human resources department as senior manager of employee benefits. 

Additionally, three other people have been named assistant principal. Shawn Carey has been promoted from College and Career Readiness teacher at Gov. Thomas Johnson High School to assistant principal there.

Assistant Principal Cynthia Hanlon is transferring from Urbana High to Tuscarora High School.

Ashley Fisher is promoted from teacher specialist to assistant principal at Urbana High.
