Hood College has launched a certificate program for project management, aiming to help make leaders more productive and effective in their fields, the college announced Tuesday.

This new certificate prioritizes helping professionals develop people skills and real-world practices necessary to successfully manage projects on time, according to the release.

The program will teach risk analysis, supply chains and logistics, how to communicate with internal and external stakeholders, and best practices in project management, the release said.

The program has a life sciences track and information technology path. All students in the program will complete two master's-level courses that cover leadership, organizational structure and project management strategies, according to the release.

From there, the life sciences track will feature classes in science ethics and leading research, and the information technology track includes classes in managing information systems and technical project teams, the release said.
