The 58th annual Burkittsville Ruritan Club carnival takes place June 14 to 20 at the Burkittsville Ruritan Club Community Center, 500 E. Main St., Burkittsville. No mechanical rides or inflatables, but lots of good food, games and nightly music. Mount Tabor Church of Rocky Ridge will hold a peach festival at Mount Tabor Park, home of “the big slide,” on Saturday. The South Carroll Lioness Lions Club will host its 14th annual All Day Cash Bingo Aug. 24 at the Gamber Fire Hall, 3838 Niner Road, Finksburg.
