Restaurant inspections

The Frederick News-Post runs monthly inspections of local restaurants by the Frederick County Health Department. The reports show which restaurants were inspected, as well as any health violations. If a critical violation is found, the restaurant must correct it immediately while the inspector is present. If more than one inspection date is listed, a minor violation was found.

Given the number of, in my opinion, very good restaurants on the list I wonder how much of this political on the part of the Frederick County Health Department. I think a lot of these procedures and processes are in place just so people can justify their jobs and collect more taxes.

jerseygrl42

same places and same violations over and over ; have to wonder about "corrected"...some of these repeaters need to get shut down for a period of time so they take this stuff seriously
