AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION THIS WEEK are Tank, an American Staffordshire terrier mix, and Sneakers, a female cat.

Tank’s size and name may be imposing but he is really a big softy. At 9 years young he knows how to relax, but he also still has a little go and enjoys playing with toys. Tank does have allergies and will need a family that can manage his condition to keep him comfortable.

Sneakers is a delight to pet. Her coat is soft and she is more than willing to show her appreciation when being petted. She twists and turns with every stroke and begins to purr loudly. Sneakers was brought to the shelter for her own safety. She was living on a farm and a resident dog was harassing cats.

Meet Tank and Sneakers at the Frederick County Animal Control Center, 1832 Rosemont Ave., Frederick. To view all the adoptable animals at Frederick County Animal Control, visit www.petfinder.com/shelters/MD103.html. For general questions, call 301-600-1546.
