The vice president of the Frederick County Council was elected as the incoming president of the Women of Maryland Association of Counties last week at the organization's summer conference in Ocean City.
M.C. Keegan-Ayer (D) succeeds Baltimore County Councilwoman Vicki Almond as president of the Women of MACo. She will work to promote policies that help women and their families and encourage women to actively participate in the political process.
Women of MACo is a chapter affiliate of the Maryland Association of Counties and is made up of female elected and appointed officials from all of Maryland’s county governments and Baltimore city. Women of MACo meet biannually at the Summer and Winter Conferences of the Maryland Association of Counties.
