Frederick County will undertake a complete review of voter addresses in 2019 after multiple homes were found to be assigned to the wrong congressional district during the 2018 midterm election.

The error was identified and corrected by county staff during the election. However, there should be no errors in the county’s voter files, county Election Director Stuart Harvey said Tuesday.

I agree that there should be no gerrymandering
But what recounts do you have when the Republicans stared it an have many more states with gerrymandering. Make them all equal or change none.

Living on the boundary of the convoluted 6th and 8th, I can see how this can happen and amazed it is was only 8 houses. Plus AG Frosh started the one lawsuit that did go to the Supreme Court which chose not to take it up leaving the lower court decision in place. Frosh then started a second lawsuit (before the election results were official) for a retry at keeping the horrible lines he helped draw up. Partisan??? Nahhhh

Tom, you have selective objections! You call it lefty when Maryland does it, but offer no opinion on the many "righty" Republican gerrymandered states. Typical right winger!

I assume that Tom lives only in one state (maybe 2 congressional districts depending on the decade), so as he mentions, he is only commenting on where he lives and not other places. I too live in the area that was flipped first to get rid of Connie Morella, then Roscoe Bartlett. Yes, other states and both major parties gerrymander and it should stop. However, the gerrymandering in Maryland directly impacted votes I cast in Maryland. What happens in other states does not impact my votes. One upon a time Maryland had 5 Democratic and 3 Republican representatives. Now it is 7 to 1. That change (for better or worse) was certainly due to gerrymandering. I vote the candidates not the parties, and when I don't like any of them, I may write myself in as a protest vote but I refuse to not vote.

Exactly md1756. How other states handle their Gerrymandering problem is their business. They need to handle it themselves. Establishing voting districts is a State issue, not Federal. I don't understand why sticking up for yourself in Western Maryland is being a typical right winger.

If you just look at your vote, you are right, but when other states gerrymander, the results affect all of us, no matter where you live.
