Frederick Municipal Airport manager Chris Lawler has resigned after three months on the job.

He stepped down from the position Wednesday, according to Joe Adkins, Frederick deputy director for planning.

Rick Johnson, assistant airport manager, will become the acting airport manager.

Richard Griffin, the city's airport liaison and director of economic development, could not be reached Friday to comment on the circumstances of the resignation or the city's plans to replace Lawler.
