Donation to Main Street Housing

United Way of Frederick County has awarded $500 to Main Street Housing Inc. toward fixing the roof of a three-unit apartment building where quality affordable housing is offered for people with psychiatric disabilities and extremely low income. “It is important for United Way of Frederick County to help those who are most vulnerable in our society which is why we recognized the importance of supporting the work Main Street Housing does with individuals and families,” said Josh Pedersen, right, CEO of United Way. “With the completion of the project, residents of this building will be safe from the elements for years to come.” United Way works across the county to leverage resources, businesses, experts, and other service providers to advance the common good. For more information or to make a donation, contact United Way at 301-663-4231 or visit unitedwayfrederick.org. At left is Kenneth Wireman, of Main Street Housing.
