Senior Services Advisory Board Meeting. This board advocates for seniors and collaborates with Frederick County’s Senior Services Division and the community on matters related to the needs, development and administration of services for older adults. Guest speakers at the Monday meeting, from 1 to 3 p.m., will be Nancy Norris, director of TransIt, and Roman Steichen, deputy director. The topic will be transportation. End of the carnival season. The Rocky Ridge Volunteer Fire Co.’s carnival runs Monday through Saturday and wraps up the local carnival season. Crush it. The Freedom from Smoking program is built to help those who want to quit smoking to pass through stages and learn from any setbacks and keep moving ahead. There is no cost to participate.
