I love the way people try and make things what they are not. The rally on Oct. 6 at Baker Park is to support Sheriff Jenkins and his deputies in enforcing the law, and to show Jan Gardner and her followers that we do not want a sanctuary for illegal aliens.
Montgomery County opened their arms to illegals by not cooperating with the immigration officials. What did it get them? Several illegals assaulting and raping children. I believe there were seven illegals all together involved in crimes, a few weeks after the county executive decided not to cooperate with ICE. By not cooperating, does this mean that Montgomery County law enforcement when coming into contact with an illegal, they just turn them loose?
If that’s true, then they are derelict in their duties. Sheriff Jenkins and his deputies are trying to prevent that scenario from happening here. Not sure why Jan Gardner and others have a problem with that.
As a law enforcement officer, you are charged with enforcing all laws — local, state and federal. Does Gardner want the sheriff to pick and choose what he enforces? Does she and others want the same for this county that Montgomery County ended up with?
Why is it considered hate when all it is, is enforcing this country’s laws and keeping the citizens of this county safe. Ms. Gardner, can you or your followers explain to me and the citizens why you have a problem with our sheriff’s department enforcing laws?
