They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and obviously The News-Post believes that.

On page A9 of the Jan. 13 paper, there is a large picture of Iranians holding signs that read “Down With USA” and protesting the killing of General Soleimani. Below the picture, however, is an article about the large number of Iranians who are protesting their government’s downing of the Ukrainian jet and the deaths of 176 passengers and crew.

More people will see the picture than will read the article. Was that the idea?

It only happened because they were worried the USA would strike (again) and their radar couldn't tell it was a passenger aircraft, with ten seconds to react. We kill bad guys and the rest is history.

I am so tired of people complaining about the FNP being one-sided, whether about balloons, Iran, or whatever. It is a small paper. Often they don't even cover big national news stories, but whenever they do, you can bet someone is accusing them of being biased on it. Sometimes the mere fact that they ran an AP article is sited as evidence of bias. OK, rant over.

Warning: I would caution reading Iranians who are protesting their government somehow means they support US intervention in the Middle East or pro-America. It’s not an either/or choice.

I agree. There was a big protest downtown right around Trump's inauguration, but I don't think that was a signal for Iran to overthrow our government.
