We have had the pleasure of knowing Pamela Reed for the better part of six years. We have known Pamela as a neighbor and friend. Pam is hardworking, dedicated and passionate about helping those around her. There is nothing that she would not do for a friend in need. For the past five years, she has gone from helping us organize a race to raise Down syndrome awareness, to helping us form and run a nonprofit to better serve the intellectually and physically disabled population.

During this time, we have been able to raise and donate funds to Down syndrome advocacy groups and schools. We had an ADA-compliant swing installed at Watkins Park and are working to build a universally accessible, ADA-compliant playground in Watkins Park as well.

Pam will not stop until her community is served. We can not think of a better person than Pamela Reed to join the Mount Airy Town Council. She would be an invaluable asset and will make a lasting impact for years to come.
