I am writing in support of the rally on Oct. 6 by Frederick County Sheriff Chuck Jenkins, especially since some letter writers to your paper have misrepresented it as a “hate rally” which is totally inaccurate.
I 100 percent support the correctly named Citizens for 287(g) Rally, and all citizens who care about the safety of the citizens of Frederick County should come out and support this cause. We have laws in this country, state and county, and those who have entered the United States illegally have broken our immigration laws.
If they are arrested, and in custody of the sheriff’s office, they should be turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and processed for deportation. We cannot become a sanctuary county like Montgomery County, and allow the sheriff’s office to release them back into our community to commit rapes, robberies, murder, and other crimes. They didn’t respect our LAWS when they came into our country illegally, so why should we release them back into our county? We have LAWS for a reason, and we pay TAXES, for our law enforcement officials to enforce our LAWS, so stand up for our law enforcement community and support them on Oct. 6 at the Citizens for 287(g) Rally. Keep Frederick County safe for our legal citizens!
