GIRLS BASKETBALL
Frederick 82, South Hagerstown 10
Rose Bubakar scored her 1,000th career point for Frederick (13-3, 6-0 CMC Spires) in the rout of the Rebels on Thursday.
Bubakar had a game-high 19 points for the Cadets. Yanessa Boyd had 16. Rhianna Hall had 14.
Frederick won the junior varsity game, 44-19.
Oakdale 62, Brunswick 35
Olivia Van Scoyoc had 11 points with five rebounds for visiting Oakdale (14-2, 8-2 CMC Gambrill). Brooke Weadon had 11 rebounds. Sami Hardesty had seven rebounds and four blocks. Gabby Averill had five steals.
Ellen Stockman had eight points for Brunswick (3-11).
Oakdale won the junior varsity game, 48-12. Madison Lilly had 13 points for the Bears.
Middletown 63, Williamsport 26
Saylor Poffenbarger registered 17 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and three steals, Meghan Shipley added 14 points and three assists, and Jade Catlin scored 12 points for the host Knights (14-1).
Melanie Pick and Kate Pusey each grabbed five rebounds.
Middletown defeated Williamsport 41-17 in the JV game, getting 10 points from Rachel Lloyd.
Smithsburg 54, Walkersville 33
Ryley Bolyard had eight points with five rebounds for visiting Walkersville (3-13). Indatou Ali-Goukoye had seven rebounds. Erin Gant had five.
Walkersville won the junior varsity game, 34-13. Emma Bowers had 10 points for the Lions.
Linganore 65, North Hagerstown 25
Hannah Ratchford, Erin Patterson and Gabby Krystofiak each had 11 points for Linganore (10-6, 7-1 CMC Spires). Emma Kokoskie had four assists.
Linganore won the junior varsity game, 58-18. Faith Chapman had 13 points for the Lancers.
BOYS BASKETBALL
Oakdale 68, Walkersville 44
Ethan Reifer had 12 points and six rebounds, including five on offense, to help the Bears improve to 11-4.
Tommy Kelly had 10 points for Oakdale. Alex Hawkins had nine points and seven rebounds, and Jack McGaha had seven assists.
Chaz Egan had 15 points for the Lions.
