Frederick snapped a 13-game losing streak with the win over the Rebels on Thursday.

Maia Solter had five hits for the Cadets (1-13). Abby Perry had four. Maison Burton had three hits with a triple.

Jessica Oberer was the winning pitcher.

TJ 4, Tuscarora 1

Jen Maradei had two hits with a home run for Thomas Johnson (9-5, 8-3 CMC Spires). Winter Hawk had six strikeouts for the Patriots.

Ryan Mills had a double for Tuscarora (5-10).

Urbana 17, Clarksburg 7, 6 inn.

Spencer Rupinta had three hits, including a three-run home run, for Urbana (10-1). Baleigh Spriggs had two hits with a three-run homer. Taylor Roberts had three hits with a triple. McKenna Ladsen had three hits. Charlene Payne and Cheyenne Thrasher each had two hits.


Audrey Spindle had three hits for St. John’s Catholic Prep (1-6).

Katie Adams had 10 strikeouts for the Vikings.

Dustin Isanogle had three hits for Catoctin (11-4).

Dylan Nicholson had a double for the Cougars, and Logan Simanski had one RBI. Mark Rogers was the winning pitcher, and Ayden Shadle earned the save.

Matt Boyer and Matt Walker each had two hits for Brunswick (7-8).

Middletown 12, Oakdale 3

Middletown (10-3, 9-2 CMC Gambrill) won its second game in as many days against the Bears (7-7).

Chase Weller and Trevor Woelkers each had two hits for Middletown. Luke Pryor had three RBIs. Drew Maly pitched a complete-game victory for the Knights.

TJ 2, Tuscarora 1

Shane Bowie had two hits for Thomas Johnson (9-4, 7-3 CMC Spires). A.J. Enriquez had a double. Bowie pitched a complete-game victory with seven strikeouts.

Gunner Crawford had a triple for Tuscarora (3-10). Jackson Van Tassell had a double.

Nico McDonough had seven goals to lead Walkersville (2-6). Camden Church had four.

Hood 4, Widener 2

Nate Luscombe pitched seven innings of one-hit baseball, and Nathan Kessler scored three runs for Hood

The win was the Blazers’ 10th in a row.

Luscombe was perfect for six innings before allowing a single in his final inning of work. He struck out five and did not walk a batter. The win made him the first Hood pitcher to reach 20 in a career.

Kessler went 2-for-3 in the game and was hit by a pitch. He scored three times and stole two bases, becoming the first Blazer with 50 steals in school history.

Brad Sawyer went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI. Trent Copenhaver was 1-for-2 with a sacrifice and an RBI.
