Catoctin 79, Williamsport 73

Dylan Click buried back-to-back 3-pointers late in the fourth quarter as part of the junior’s season-high 30-point night, and the host Cougars knocked off the Wildcats, who entered the game leading the CMC Gambrill Division.

Click hit seven 3-pointers on a night when his team sank 13 from behind the arc.

Mason Shank added 15 points for Catoctin (9-5), while David Parker scored 12 points with nine rebounds and four fourth-quarter blocks to help seal the win. Tommy Fitzpatrick scored 11 points, while Ethan Paulus dished out six assists.

Williamsport won the JV game 58-54. Catoctin’s Dalton Williams scored 18.

Tuscarora 57, Frederick 49

Tuscarora (7-6, 3-2 CMC Spires) pulled away from Frederick (7-5, 3-3) in the fourth quarter for the win.

Josh Draughon had 22 points with three assists and four steals for the Cadets. Xavier Chase had 10 points with 10 rebounds. Savion Maultsby had seven rebounds. James Quinn had six assists. Cam Jones had four steals.

Jaden Arrington had 15 points for Frederick. Adrian Adlam had 12.

Tuscarora won the junior varsity game 64-56. Jordan Chaney had 17 points for the Titans. Robert Holman had 14. Avontace Burns had 10.

Oakdale 73, Walkersville 54

Jack McGaha had 15 points for Oakdale (10-3, 6-1 CMC Gambrill). Tommy Kelly had 12. Garrison Linton had 10.

Chaz Egan had 21 points for Walkersville (6-7, 4-3).

Oakdale won the junior varsity game 45-32. Cainan Schmidt had 13 points for the Bears.

Linganore 64, Westminster 58

Sean Lang had 15 points for Linganore (11-3). Chase Maddox had 12. Francisco Palacios and Cole Mitchell each had 10.

South Hagerstown 51, Urbana 33

Justin Zimmerman had eight points for Urbana (0-13).

South Hagerstown won the junior varsity game 54-38.

North Hagerstown 71, TJ 55

Jeremiah Morris and Sean Giles each had 16 points for Thomas Johnson (4-10) in a road loss. Nate Owusu had 13.

TJ won the junior varsity game.

MSD 87, Hancock 38

Jory Valencia had 23 points with six rebounds and four assists. Ethan Sheppeck had 20 points. Jaden Joseph had 16 points with nine assists, seven rebounds and five steals. Enow Otto had 10 points with seven rebounds. Zion Ortiz had three assists. Nathan Sheppeck had six steals.

FCA 63, Rosedale Baptist 47

Justin Morrisey had 21 points with six rebounds, six steals and four assists for Frederick Christian Academy (11-0). Jaden Wade had 12 points with five assists. Jacob Grimm had 10 points. Jon Pigatt had nine rebounds with four assists. Evan Runkles and Doug McClure each had seven rebounds.

Heritage 60, New Life 47

Colin Welker had 16 points for New Life Christian (8-8). Marshall Robinson had seven rebounds, three assists and three steals. Josh Stone had six rebounds.


Middletown 53, Brunswick 28

Saylor Poffenbarger had 13 points with 12 rebounds and four assists for Middletown (12-1, 7-0 CMC Gambrill). Meghan Shipley scored 13 points with five assists. Kate Pusey added eight boards.

Ryley Backer, Ellen Stockman and Madison Shaffer each had six points for Brunswick (3-9).

Middletown won the junior varsity game 36-7 behind Rachel Lloyd’s 16 points.

Oakdale 49, Walkersville 38

Sam Foster scored 14 of her game-best 16 points from the foul line as the Bears hit 30 of 43 free throws in the win.

Foster added seven boards, four steals and two assists. Sami Hardesty added five boards and two assists. Gabby Averill had six boards.

Walkersville (3-11) was led by Payton Moots’ nine points. Indatou Ali-Goukoye had seven rebounds, while Ryley Bolyard had six.

Walkersville won the JV game 48-22, paced by Jill Silver’s 15 points. Oakdale’s Fina Mochi scored six.

Catoctin 58, Williamsport 47

Emily Williams had 19 points with five assists for Catoctin (10-3, 5-3 CMC Gambrill). Emma Wivell had 10 points.

Williamsport won the junior varsity game 23-22.

TJ 51, North Hagerstown 43

Shawn Jones had 23 points with seven rebounds and six steals for Thomas Johnson (4-10). Dre Owusu had 13 points. Elizabeth Nwachuwn had 11. Jazmine Hardy had five blocks.

TJ won the junior varsity game 48-25. Jennifer Lombardo had 18 points for the Patriots.

Urbana 61, South Hagerstown 12

Paige Clausen had 17 points with five rebounds for Urbana (9-4, 4-1 CMC Spires). Brianna Shuttlewood had 14 points. Megan DeGrouchy had seven rebounds. Carleigh Mankowich had six rebounds.

Linganore 42, Westminster 30

Hannah Ratchford had 14 points with five steals for Linganore (8-6). Linzee Morris had 12 points with seven rebounds. Emily Byrns had six rebounds.

Linganore won the junior varsity game 39-34. Faith Chapman had nine points for the Lancers.

Heritage Academy 51, New Life 38

Angela Bueso had 14 points with 11 rebounds for New Life Christian (11-6). Lexi Standford had 13 points, 18 rebounds and five blocks. Ella Mason had six rebounds. Sabrina Standford had five rebounds, three assists, and three steals.


CMC Championships

Oakdale’s boys and Urbana’s girls won respective team championships on Friday at Hagerstown Community College.

The Bears boys defeated runner-up South Hagerstown 97-59. The Hawks girls defeated runner-up Middletown 123-60.

Kyle Lund led Oakdale’s boys with four wins. He won the 800 (1 minute, 55.6 seconds), and 1,600 (4:30.9) and ran on two winning relay teams.

Lydia Robling and Sara Jarman were double-winners for Urbana. Erin McQuitty won two events for Middletown.


CCBC-Essex 100, FCC 55

Amiah Banks had 22 points with 10 rebounds and five steals for Frederick Community College (12-6) in a road loss. Nia Powell had 12 points with 11 rebounds. Makenzie Crigger had 10 points with seven rebounds. Makaala Ambush had nine rebounds. Ariana Moye had six.
