BOYS LACROSSE

Urbana 23, Walkersville 1

Urbana capped off its first undefeated season in school history with the win Tuesday night at home.

The Hawks (14-0) face Middletown at 3 p.m. Saturday at Hood College for the Central Maryland Conference championship.

Jason Jozwiak led Urbana with four goals and three assists. Jason Kolar had four goals with one assist. Grayson Buki had four goals. 

Kevin Medina and Sean Kelty combined for nine saves for the Hawks.

Brunswick 19, North Hagerstown 4

Jacob Cadle had nine goals with three assists for Brunswick (6-5).

J.T. Harich had three goals with two assists. Josh Cadle had a hat trick. Daniel Polyniak had two goals with one assist. Layne Harich had one goal with six assists. Nathan Hull had one goal with three assists. Cameron Cornett had two assists. 

Andrew Held had five saves for the Railroaders.

Brunswick won the junior varsity game 12-2.

Smithsburg 20, Frederick 5

Sam Gonzales had three goals for the Cadets, and goalie Kameron Arocha had 10 saves.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Tuscarora 9, St. James 8

Tuscarora (9-2) held off St. James over the final two minutes for the win.

Chandler Stewart and Gianni Blundell each had two goals with two assists for the Titans. Haley Barth had two goals with one assist. Rachel Nichols, Blake Clouser and Lauren Roberts each had one goal.

Savannah Vance had 19 saves.

Tuscarora won the junior varsity game 18-2.

Frederick 16, Smithsburg 3

Cedar Shapiro had five goals with four assists for Frederick (6-6).

Amanda Effland had two goals with three assists. Danyael Bryant had two goals with one assist. Maggie Nealley had two goals. Kim Portillo, Samantha Sibold, Dede Mott and Kyla Popielaski each had one goal. Rebekah Meredith had one goal with one assist.

Mae Beins had seven saves for the Cadets.

Boonsboro 19, TJ 2

Lauren Dorsey had both goals for Thomas Johnson (0-10),

Abby Cooper had seven saves for the Patriots.

SJCP 11, Mercy 10

Rachel Johnson had five goals for St. John's Catholic Prep (5-7). Erika Bealmear had four. Bridgett Crowley and Natalie Scherer each had one.

Angela Mason had eight saves for the Vikings.

BASEBALL

Boonsboro 14, Walkersville 7

Mickey McElwain had three hits with a double for Walkersville (8-9). Adam Dellamura had three hits. Garrett Kreimer had two hits. Brooks Burnett had a double.

SOFTBALL

SJCP 6, Notre Dame Prep 2

Amber Ennis had three hits with a home run and three RBIs for St. John's Catholic Prep (2-7).

Katie Adams was the winning pitcher with six strikeouts.

COLLEGE BASEBALL

FCC 10-12, Shenandoah JV 0-1

Mitch Long, Jacob Wetzel, Priamo Lozada and Brandon Austin each had two hits each in the first game for Frederick Community College (29-13). Lozada hit his ninth home run of the season. 

AJ Cieslinski (7-1) was the winning pitcher.

Brett Stallings and Wetzel each had two hits in the second game. Nick Karlinchak (5-2) was the winning pitcher in the second game.
