MSD 46, California SD-Fremont 44

Jaden Joseph drove the lane to hit a game-winning shot for Maryland School for the Deaf (11-3) with 2 seconds left in the game Friday night.

The Orioles will play top-seeded Model Secondary School for the Deaf in Saturday’s championship game at Indiana School for the Deaf.

Ethan Sheppeck led MSD in scoring with 12 points. Miguel Pavao had 10 points with eight rebounds. Joseph had 10 rebounds with three assists. Enow Otto had seven rebounds. Zion Ortiz had three steals.

Walkersville 57, Brunswick 53

Jacob Montgomery led all scorers with 18 points, adding three assists and three steals for the visiting Lions.

Walkersville’s Alex Bennett scored 12 points with eight rebounds. Kenyen Chum dished out six assists with three steals.

Brayden Jones led the Railroaders with 15 points, while Spencer Kornblum had 13.

Brunswick won the JV game 42-40, paced by Caleb Shullenbarger’s 14 points and Cameron Cornett’s 12. Walkersville was led by Brandon Buschman’s 16 points, while Josh Stevens scored 13.

Frederick 74, Greenstreet Acad. 56

Host Frederick went on a 31-13 scoring tear in the fourth quarter, breaking a 43-43 tie, on its way to the win.

Jaden Arrington had 15 points for the Cadets (7-3). Jalen Bowie had 12. Hanee Camper had 11. Adrian Adlam and Chris Metevia each had three steals. Max Harriday had six rebounds.

Linganore 89, Manchester Valley 54

Tim Conner had 17 points for Linganore (10-2). Matt Schiller had 15. Cole Mitchell had 14. Chase Maddox had 13, Francisco Palacios had 11.

Middletown 74, Smithsburg 52

Brian Walker had 18 points with nine rebounds for host Middletown (7-2, 4-2 CMC Gambrill). Luca Carioti had 17 points. Veron Talla had 14 points with eight rebounds.

Smithsburg won the junior varsity game 54-46.

Warriors 73, Patriots 63

Tyler Lindley had 27 points with four steals for the Frederick Warriors (9-6). Aaron Chew had 15 points with 10 rebounds. Caleb Passarellli had 13 points with 10 assists.

Scotland Campus 87, Force 56

AJ Switzer and Sammy Bowes each had 18 points for the Frederick Force (6-13). Nathan Bowes had 13.

Shalom Christian 44, New Life 40

Marshall Robinson finished with 14 points and 15 rebounds, and Jefferson Dao followed with 13 points, five assists and five assists for visiting New Life (7-7).

Crystal Salit had 16 points with eight rebounds, three assists and three steals for Maryland School for the Deaf (12-3), which plays in Saturday’s championship game at Indiana SD.

Citrine Lummer had six rebounds and three steals. Hannah Weiss had five rebounds. Sierra Herzig-Wilcox had three assists.

McDonogh School 67, SJCP 63

Kayla Cooper had 21 points with 13 rebounds for St. John’s Catholic Prep (10-4).

Jasmine Huskey scored 13, while Sara Yoda had 10 points and seven boards.

Shalom Christian 32, New Life 22

Claire Socash had nine points with six rebounds and three blocks for New Life Christian (10-5). Lexi Standford had 10 rebounds with two blocks. Angela Bueso had seven blocks and five rebounds. Sabrina Stanford had five rebounds with three steals.

Christian Knox had 17 points for Frederick Community College (11-5). CJ Williams had 14 points, five rebounds and three assists. Juwan Burnett had 13 points. AJ Gregory had seven rebounds with three assists. Jack Kelly and Bajon Bihai each had five rebounds.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

FCC 63, Howard CC 22

Frederick Community College (12-4) held host Howard Community College to 11 first-half points.

Nia Powell led the Cougars with 22 points, 31 rebounds and three blocks. Amiah Banks had 19 points with 10 rebounds. Makaala Ambush had 11 points, 10 rebounds and four assists.
