Oakdale’s Chris Lee is four shots off the pace after the first day of the 2A-1A division of the MPSSAA golf tournament on Tuesday at University of Maryland’s golf course in College Park.

Lee shot a 76 and is tied with Glenelg’s Caleb Taylor for fourth in the individual 2A-1A standings. South Carroll’s Ryan Stankewicz is the 2A-1A individual leader at 72.

The Bears finished third in the 2A-1A team standings after the first day with a 339. Marriotts Ridge leads with a 310, followed by River Hill with a 329.

Middletown’s Joey Weiland shot an 83, tied with two other golfers for 13th. Oakdale’s Joe Lesage also shot an 83. Other scoring golfers for the Bears include Jake Ramsburg (84) and Cam Clark (96).

The state tournament concludes at 9 a.m. today for all classifications.
