HAGERSTOWN — Oakdale’s Chris Lee had some struggles on the front nine, but thanks to a better performance on the back nine, shot a 2-under-par 70 on Wednesday at Black Rock Golf Course.

Lee’s recovery earned him a one-shot win over South Carroll’s Ryan Stankewicz for the individual boys championship, and helped lead the Bears to the Class 2A-1A District I crown.

Teammate Elizabeth Tucci won the individual district girls crown, shooting an 82.

Oakdale held off a challenge from Winters Mill for a 314-320 win, which qualifies the entire Bears’ team for the state tournament, which begins on Oct. 22 at University of Maryland’s golf course in College Park.
