Mackenzie Pope led Walkersville with a hat trick and one assist Monday. One of her goals was the game-winner in overtime, on an assist from Baylor Baxley.

Emily Goline had one goal with two assists for the Lions. Baxley and Natalie Miller each had one goal.

Amanda Effland had two goals with two assists for Frederick. Maggie Nealley also had two goals. Kyla Popielaski had one goal.

BEL AIR — Ryan Sevilla-Garcia scored off a free kick from Fabian Valenzuela-Ruz in overtime for the win.

The Hawks are 1-1 on the year. No other details were provided.

Men’s Soccer

For the second straight week, Hood’s Clay Smith was named the Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.

He had a hat trick with one assist in the Blazers’ lone match against Juniata.

College Volleyball

Hood’s Elena Zinaich was named the Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week. She tied a program record with 28 kills in a five-set win over New Jersey City.
