What do you enjoy about running track and field?

I like how it's a mentality thing, that you have to push yourself. You have to push yourself harder every single time. It's not really about beating other people. It's about running your race.

How did you get so fast?

Really, I don't know. I blame it on soccer. You know, having to chase down other people and stuff.

You run on a number of relays for Walkersville. What do you like the most about running on a relay team?

I love relays because you run your race, you run your part, and then you [watch] the other girls, you have to cheer them on. I like running relays better than the individual events. If you win the whole thing, it's just like, "Wow, you put in the work to do that."

You play on the soccer team at Walkersville with your sister, Chidera. How would you describe your relationship?

We are always playing sports together. She used to do track but then just didn't do it anymore. I mean, we are sisters. She is more of an aggressive player, and I am more of a go-with-the-flow and just chill kind of player. I try and push myself.

As we approach the end of this track season, what are your goals?

I am really hoping to PR (set a personal record) in the 200- and 100-meter dashes, my individual events, and going to states in the relays. Hopefully, we will place.
