The margin between first place and last place was measured in inches Saturday night as FC Frederick fell to Virginia Beach City FC 2-1 at Urbana High School.

FC Frederick went a man down two minutes into the match when Alex Lee was issued a red card. On the ensuing free kick, Preston Bremus headed home a set piece from Robby Dambrot to give the visitors a 1-0 lead.
FC Frederick evened the scored only 14 minutes later when Youness Benmouna tucked a shot into an open net off a cross by Reilly Maw.
The match remained 1-1 until the 85th minute when Bremus served up Ezana Kahshay for the eventual game-winning goal.
FCC goalie Abiye Jack had five saves.
