A community collaboration between the Boys & Girls Club of Frederick County’s “Club on the Go," Safe Kids, Frederick Bicycle Coalition, I Believe in Me, Inc. and the Maryland Department of Transportation joined forces Monday afternoon at the Frederick Towne Mall to provide free bicycle helmets for children. “Club on the Go” is a new Boys & Girls Club of Frederick County initiative that supports youth in the community who do not have access to youth development programming and mentorship. The program consists of a branded bus that will be making its way around the community to provide programming, meals, mentoring, fun and more throughout the year. Volunteer Matthew Buckner helps adjust the new helmet of Lucy Lewis ,4, as her sister Eliza ,7, and mother Lisa watch.
