Rick, you continue to violate one of the basic rules of columnists, which I learned a long time ago. ... one columnist does not criticize another columnist writing for the same paper. It is just not the place for it. Save it for your own.

I can assure you, Mr. Blumberg, that someone whose four grandparents left Russia around 1905 with basically nothing but the clothes on their backs and then built a life that included more than a dozen children of all ages does NOT hate America.

My father was a baker who worked six days a week (nights) and as a result I rarely saw him during the school year. One thing that has hurt respect for blue collar workers is their willingness to being suckered by people like Donald Trump and right-wing radio personalities.
