I pay taxes and live in the city and should have a voice to promote spending that I like without investing my own money. Most places allow that.

It has become a partisan issue with Republicans on one side and Democrats on the other and little real logic is in the mix. The money is small compared to the other projects that benefit hotels on Byte drive and south on 85.
